I couldn't get the wltoys 130 motor to fit the wires, came from the back, instead of on top. The japan cup motor needs a bigger esc so im using the stock motor for now its quick but it could be faster with the wl motor.

ok, im getter closer lol, i detached the stock motor and attached a micro dc motor. The motor is so small it fits in the car, i put it there to trick the circuit board into thinking everything is connected normally, then i connected the stock motor to the wltoys esc and 7.4 volt 20c battery. the car is faster and has the power of 7.4 volts and the car can go around the track forwards.


one problems tho is that the car wanders left to right more than before, if i hold the steering to the left it stays on track better. Hopefully i can figure that one out also.

ok, i figured out why it was wandering, because i had not put it together properly and the servo was misaligned. So i did it. solved this puzzle the trick is to attach a micro motor to the circuit board to trick the system into thinking its normal and then to run the motor and a separate esc/ receiver. Right now im running the stock motor at 7.4 and have full AI. I can still make it faster even much more, but for now i will enjoy testing more. I hope you all learned something and some great cars come from this research.

The car is 2 times as fast as normal, It drives well and straight, but you have to be easy on throttle up or it will spin out from too much torque. I put grease on the wheel with more traction and it helped a lot with stopping the spin outs.

i installed the wltoys rally car motor 19mph and the car is super quick too quick for my small track, if i give full power it just spins out. Ill try to figure some kind of solution

Ok, i ordered the diesel truck and kyoto drift tires. I plan on building two of the trucks one with the stock motor at 7.4 and one with the wltoys motor. I want the final car to look cool, not like a rolling chassis lol. I did some testing with the wltoys motor and is was awesome, the car can jump 2 feet in the air and 3 feet forward, you have to be easy on the throttle or it will spin out, im hoping the drift tires and the truck body will make it more controllable. Im also going to do another scooby doo car at 7.4 , its just too much fun to see scooby driving lol all the cars read the track otherwise i could not drive them so well.

I think your idea is fine, with some refinement it might be fun. Why not invest in more track? My longest straights are up to 22 feet long, and at Terminal velocity you still have to drive the straightaway. At twice the speed, it would be unmanageable, hence not fun.
I have over 200 tracks under my belt, and i promise, speed isn't what you need, it's handling and MORE TRACK!
